1. GETTING CONNECTED! TEAMSPEAK
The first step in Connecting to teamspeak is to
first get the ip address of the server you are connecting to.
Our Server IP is : DetroitVirtual.com
Now open Teamspeak.
Now click Connection Than go down to Connect.
Next You have to right click in a white area and
click add server.
After you click add server you have to add your
server name
After you rename your server click on your server
name.
On the right there should be an area for you to
put in your info.
Put in the info the ip address , your nickname
, and if there is a password on the teamspeak the password.
2. ONCE CONNECTED! TEAMSPEAK
Next, set your TeamSpeak sound options.
Open the "Settings" menu and choose "Sound Input/Output
Settings".
Set the output volume, this is how loud other people
are in your headphones.
Detroit Virtual REQUIRES your
Voice Send Method to be "press to talk" key
(X) Push to Talk
> Then
Hit the SET Button. And Press a Key you would like to have Activate
your Mic
Don't worry about which codec to use, that is determined
by the server (except in local test mode).
3. PROPERLY SETUP YOUR MICROPHONE
Make sure that the microphone input of your soundcard
is selected as the preferred recording device in your Windows sound mixer.
Right-click on the volume icon in your system tray,
and choose "Open Volume Control".
Then go to the "Options" menu, and choose "Properties"
Select the "Recording" radio button. And make sure
the box next to "Microphone" is checked.
Make sure the checkbox under the Microphone volume
slider is checked and the volume is turned up.
If you are having problems with your mic being
too quiet, you can try clicking the "Advanced" button and check the "Microphone
Boost" option
